Without the music it wouldnīt be much of an
idea to set up this website at all, would it?
Good looks works everywhere these days,
but since we have already taken care of
that part we keep ourselves busy working on improvement in other areas.
Besides, the pretty will soon be old, ugly and smell funny, so every band has to
consider tough
issues like songwriting and practice.
A groupīs songs are really the backbone. In the long run you cannot fool
the listener with a predictable or tacky
piece of music.
Irrespective of how good you play or sing.
A matter of taste? Yes.
But the only taste a songwriter should consider is his/her own.
You canīt fool yourself.
Whoīs going to hear the song the most? Whoīs going to live with it?
Nobody has ever known what other people like. Itīs all assumptions.
Maybe trial and error at best. The only way is to do it for you.
In addition it most likely would embarrass you one day to listen to
your songs written to please what you thought were somebody else.
And nobody needs that.
Thatīs how we see it. We want to stay focused and be fastidious.
Our own worst critics.
Although we agreed that we already had a couple of great songs between us,
we decided early on that we wanted to work with new material. It would be
time-consuming, but we are in no rush.
